The European Association of Guarantee Institutions (AECM) welcomed the Euro-Mediterranean Guarantee Network (EMGN) as a new partner. The AECM General Assembly approved EMGN’s application unanimously. This formalisation of the relationship between the two networks will further strengthen their cooperation towards the promotion of guarantee instruments and exchange of best practices in Europe and the Mediterranean region.

The AECM was founded in 1992 and has currently 47 member organisations operating in 30 European countries. It represents the political interest of its member organisations vis-à-vis the European institutions, serves as a platform for the exchange of best practices, and promotes guarantee instruments through relevant technical information on the sector.

The EMGN is promoted by the Euro-Mediterranean Economists Association – EMEA, the European Institute of the Mediterranean – IEMed, and the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit – GIZ.
